How do MonaLisa Touch Treatments Work?
The MonaLisa Touch uses gentle laser energy delivered via a side-firing probe that is inserted into the vaginal canal. A two-part pulse targets both the surface (epithelial) tissue and the deep (lamina propria) tissue in order to promote revitalization of the vaginal mucosal.
Does the procedure hurt?
No anesthesia is required for the MonaLisa Touch treatments. Some patients may experience mild discomfort the first time the probe is inserted, but the treatment itself is not painful. Many patients report that it feels like a gentle vibration. Patients receive three treatments, spaced six weeks apart. Treatments take less than five minutes to perform.
